First open the door and using an Allen key unscrew the retaining screws and withdraw the lock approximately 12mm to expose the operating lever. 2. Unhook the remote control rod from the operating lever and pull the upper lever from sleeve. Remove the door pull lever from the sleeve carefully. Identifying the switch wires. 1 There will switch to control the central looking vacuum pump. This is fitted within the driverside door. The switch has three wires fitted to switch connector :- Red - permanent live Red/White - Lock Red/Yellow - Unlock The two wire we are concerned with are the red/white and red/yellow. Fitting the LED The LED has three pin terminals. The centre pin is the negative (b), the two pins either side, one will be slightly longer than the other side. The one longer is for green illumination (a) and the other is for red illumination (c). Solder a resistor to each pin either side of the negative pin (a and c ). Solder wires to each of the pins on the LED (don't forget after the resistors !). Now you are ready to connect the wires to the switch. Connect (a) to the red/yellow and (c) to red/white wire. The negative wire (b) to earth point on the door. Parallel the wires from the driverside to connect the LED in the passager side. Now you are ready to test the system. Lock the door, LED will light red and unlock the door and the LED will be green. Refitting of the trim panel is the reverse of removal.
